I love prosperity teaching and preaching, notice I said Teaching because it is in God's word that he wants to prosper us. Many of times christians knock people in the church because there blessed with material things but boast about what the world has. That kills me! If they (unbelievers) can have it why cant we (Children of God). I also beleive that you can prosper in more ways than one. Spiritually, Mentally, Physically (Health). Prospering doesn't always mean they preaching about money. That's just my opinion and as you can see I don't oppose prosperity preaching I'm all for it. I just have the faith that what God has for me is for me!

I beleive "prosperity preaching" has its place. I also believe it is a trend, especially in many megachurches. If we only serve God for what he can do for us then we are being hypocritical. We should be encouraging a return to proper interpretation of the scripture and worship that focuses on transforming worshippers into Godfearing people. Many people in church today want to be entertained and not necessarily transformed, renewed, refreshed and recommitted.

I love the works of God in all aspects of the word. I say that because of the hands that life has dealt me before I let God take total control of me. Prosperity Teachings is God's way of teaching you the correct way. Following God you can never go wrong. I've learned that prosperity isn't all about material things but the things that God allows you to recieve through BLESSINGS, because only what you do for God will last.

Prosperity teaching and preaching allows us to witness about tne goodness of God. Our mission is to go and spread the good news. If we boast about how God has blessed us only with material possesions, we will lose focus of our true mission. God wants us to not only look good, feel good, and do well, but what he wants more is for us to go and compel others to come to him. Remember we serve an awesome God!

Good Morning Saints of God, Pastor Mitchell here.

From reading the comments about prosperity preaching, I would say all of you have a great grasped and sincere devotion to your faith and trust in God.

Let me share with you. Prosperity Preaching is a great tool in ministry if (ONLY) we are not preaching the materialistic side of the message.

As stated in one of the previous comments, It is the message of the Good News as ministers or disciples of Christ that we are to place all emphasis on. We have "NO" choice but to go ye therefore and teach all nations about the Risen Savior. If we are ministers of the Gospel and get hung up on nothing but Prosperity, we will have truly lost the unbeliever and the new babes in Christ by giving them a falsehood on what it is to be a Christian.

It is not always the message, but it can be the messenger. We must be careful in not only our talk but in our walk with Christ for this is the only message (Bible) that some unbelievers and believers see.

In conclusion, let's not always talk about the PIE IN THE SKY unless we are going to tell them of the difficulities through Christ that it took to get a piece of pie.

Your in Christ,
Pastor Mitchell

I think we need the prosperity teaching for todays time, it creates a full package of what God has for us. You had the healing message and the salvation message and the peace message and now the prosperity message. it adds to the pie of teaching that God would have us to know about how he thinks about us. Prosperity is defintely in His will for his people. the church has been poor for too long.

...I want to be careful with this question because there are many parts to proseprity. God wants us to be prosperous. And the bible speaks about prosperity. I like proseperity teaching however, sometimes prosperity preaching is glorified, sometimes it is not scriptural based. Sometimes they make it sound like if you sow $1000.00 you will get a Jaguar or something extreme. But if you give your tithes, God will supply all your needs. Also in Phil 4:19 it says God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. So it is saying that no matter how much you give God is in charge of your blessing and he gives you what he thinks you need. It also says in Psalms 34:8 O taste and see that the Lord is Good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

In the book of Third John: 2 It says Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. God said it, it is written in the word of God, therefore, we must study to know Gods' word. God wants his children blessed in the natural as well as spiritually.

Duet. 8:18 states, "But thou shall remember the Lord your God: for it is He who gives thee power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto your fathers, as it is this day." I believe if you don't understand or know the intended purpose of a thing abuse or misuse will result in God's Kingdom Dominion message.
